The application domain of Embedded Systems products is exploding by the day. Embedded systems products are finding new applications in diverse fields such as agriculture, medical assist devices, digital fabrication, communication gadgets and personal entertainment devices.
There is a serious shortage of engineers with comprehensive, hands-on experience with not only the software aspects of Embedded Systems, but also the detailed hardware issues for an optimum, cost effective system; every component counts and even a single extra resistor is one too many.
A successful Embedded Systems designer must possess hands-on experience. The mantra is: I hear, I forget; I see, I understand; I do, I remember. I would add to this: I build and therefore I know. There is no alternative but to gain experience by building things.
It is encouraging to see budding engineers emulate the above mantra and then going that extra mile in sharing their experience with others. I wish the core team of LearnMicros all the success in their endeavours. Goodluck!
